I contemplated not doing this type of blog post, because, you know 2020. The holidays are going to look a lot different this year than in years past. But, even though we likely won’t be going to work holiday parties, to the Nutcracker, or any other large gatherings, we will probably still celebrate the holidays in some way or another. Plus I’m a firm believer that a twirly dress, a pair of heels, and some fun earrings can go a long way, even if you’re not leaving your house this year for the holidays. I hope that you enjoy this outfit inspo post, and if nothing else, this can serve as a guide for the holidays come 2021!
Holiday Outfit One: The “I can drink lots of red wine in this dress”
You can never go wrong with a red dress. Red = Christmas, and this dress would work great with a simple pair of earrings, black, navy or gold shoes, and don’t forget a beautiful white coat or pashmina to throw over your shoulders.
Holiday Outfit Two: The “I’m going to look like a Goddess in this”
I love white for the holidays. It is so simple and classy, and honestly white looks good on everyone. It really does. I would definitely wear a red heel to make the dress pop, or second choice would be gold. Stay away from black shoes so you don’t look like you are going to the office. I love this fun headband too, and the pearl details on the collar.
Holiday Outfit Three: The “my holidays are pink and white”
So I love this outfit because it’s not traditional “holiday”, but I think it works for a dinner at home, or dinner out, or whatever you have planned. Plus all of these pieces can be worn well after the holidays as well. Also those shoes are all the heart eyes!
Holiday Outfit Four: The “do we have to go to your office party?”
I would say this is the perfect ‘work’ holiday party outfit, but this is also excellent for us colder weather ladies, since the dress is velvet (thicker material) and long sleeves! This could even be worn with a pair of high heeled boots if stilettos are not your thing.
Holiday Outfit Five: The “where did you get that dress?”
Green is so under-rated and even though I don’t own a lot of green myself, it’s a beautiful color for the holidays. Of course, the bow on the dress is my favorite part. I like the nude heel with green, but a lot of colors would work as well, just stay away from red, so you don’t end up looking like a Christmas tree.
Holiday Outfit Six: The “I’m ready to party… in my living room!”
You can just wear this for Hanukkah, then Christmas, then Kwanzaa, and then wear it again for New Years! Don’t forget the bubbly!
Holiday Outfit Seven: The “I love blush and I want to wear it year round”
Are you seeing a pattern with my non-traditional approach to the holidays this year? Look that’s 2020 for ya, you can do whatever you want, and I personally love this feminine outfit.
Holiday Outfit Eight: The “I don’t do dresses”
I do do dresses, but I love me a jumpsuit. I wore a pretty red one a few years ago for Christmas and it was one of my favorite outfits. The only part that’s not oh so fun about a jumpsuit, is the part where you have to go use the ladies room. Also, definitely strappy heels with jumpsuits, stay away from closed toe.
Holiday Outfit Nine: The “that silver fox is mine”
I didn’t have a better name for this, but I do feel like silver always takes the back seat. Gold and Rose Gold has become so popular that silver is often overlooked, but paired with black, it’s a lovely and classy look.
Holiday Outfit Ten: The “I’m super classy and wear white whenever I want”
This might be my favorite outfit, but only because I’m a sucker for white. It’s my favorite color, and although these green shoes are ahhhhmazing, you can really do whatever you want, even some pointy flats… especially if they are tartan plaid.
Holiday Outfit Eleven: The “I’m channeling my inner Duchess Kate”
I love that this dress comes in a deep green and a navy blue. Navy is a great color for the holidays, and yes you can totally wear navy with black strappy heels.
Holiday Outfit Twelve: The “I bought one in every color”
This dress is simple, and twirly, and very feminine. Good luck choosing your favorite color!
Holiday Outfit Thirteen: The “two piece”
These leggings are SPANX VELVET! I am so excited to get them! Pair them with a red silk top and you are golden. I also love a pleated skirt, just make sure your top is not flowy and can be tucked in.
Holiday Outfit Fourteen: The “Anastasia ran out of time and loved these dresses and shoes”
Someone just please get that red dress and those heels because oh mmmm gee! Just don’t wear them together.
Happy Shopping & Happy Holidays friends!
xo, Anastasia
