All Things Elle’s Pink Bedroom & Holiday Decor

I have been meaning to write this post for about a year and a half now. Elle’s room is by far my favorite one in the house, and while it’s been a work in progress since she transitioned out of a crib (at around 3.5 years of age! eek), I think it’s finally done…. until she decides she wants something different probably next week!

Her room is all decorated for Christmas, so this seems to be the perfect time to do this post, since I can link her furniture, accessories, and holiday decor all in one post.

While I will try to link everything I can, some of the products are no longer available, and others I found at Home Goods or other stores. As always some of the links in this post are commisionable. If you guys have any questions about anything you see, I’m happy to help!

The Pink Book Nook

This is where we store the majority of Elle’s books. This Kallax unit is from IKEA, and while it doesn’t come in this pink color anymore (we bought this in 2015), it can definitely be painted any color you’d like. The rattan storage baskets are also IKEA, and again, they don’t have the white color option anymore, but they do have other options for white storage bins.

The pictures above the unit I made myself. The bonnet prints I got from Etsy, it was a digital download, and I had them printed on cardstock at Staples. The one in the middle with her name, I designed myself with a font I picked out from DaFont, and also printed on cardstock at Staples. The frames are from Michael’s.

All the holiday decorations are from Home Goods or TjMaxx. The Sugarplum Fairy Barbie is from when I was a little girl, and I love that my mom saved it. The three books are my absolute favorite collectibles from Barnes & Noble. They are beautiful, and surprisingly only cost $10 a book (we have 5 different ones!)

The Play Nook

This is definitely the most well loved spot in Elle’s room. We got this KidKraft kitchen for her first birthday, and it is still the most played with toy in our house. The white table on the rug gets used a lot as well for crafts, and tea parties, and of course her dollies needed a table of their own. The baby dolls obviously need a highchair and a crib as well, so don’t forget those!

Her pink curtains are PB Kids (no longer in production) and have a blackout liner which is a life saver in my opinion, and the sheer dot curtains I found at Home Goods. Elle’s scalloped wall monogram is from The Bella Bean (use code: CAPECODMOMMA to save 10% off your whole order).

The Sleeping Nook

I spent a lot of time… A LOT, looking for the perfect big girl bed. I have always loved the Jenny Lind look, and was leaning toward this bed, but the price tag on it, kept me looking for more affordable alternatives. At the end, my amazing parents offered to buy the bed (we got the Full) because the quality and the design of this one were unmatched, and I’m SO SO glad this beautiful bed is in Elle’s room. It is the center point (literally in the middle of her room), and I know we will get many years out of it.

Her bedside table and lamp are both PBK, as are many of the throw pillows. Her sheets are Beaufort Bonnet, and unfortunately the Belle Meade Bow and Darling Duchess prints are both sold out, but they always release new sheets, and the quality of these is better than my own Brooklinen sheets!

The Santa garland is by the sweetest little shop called Little Happies. The snowflake garland at the head of the bed, I got at Michael’s, it’s super cute, but also SUPER glittery, so you’ve been warned.

The Cozy Nook

Even though the kitchen area gets a lot of play, we spend a lot of time on this fluffy rug, it really is so comfy and perfect for a kids’ bedroom or even nursery. Elle’s dresser is probably the best purchase I made before she was even born. It came with a removable changing table/topper, which is key, because once your babe is no longer in a diaper, you can take the topper off and use this as a regular dresser. I did change out the pulls, because these golden bows were just too pretty and coordinate perfectly with the Belle Meade Bow sheets and some of the bow prints.

All the frames above the dresser and the two on the dresser are from Michael’s. The prints above the dresser I made myself using the Darling Duchess Party Hat template from the Beaufort Bonnet Blog. Essentially it took a lot of cut, copy, and pasting, but I did it all in Word, so it’s totally doable. I then had the graphics printed on card stock at Staples. The bow graphic I got on Etsy, as a digital download. Elle’s bonnet holder is of course from TBBC. The little snowman candle holder and the Christmas tree were made by my mom, and I did at a local pottery place.

The Dolly Playhouse/Christmas Tree Nook

To be honest, this is the space in Elle’s room that I’m still conflicted about; I just don’t love it. When the tree isn’t there, her PB anywhere chair is, but the ceiling is slanted and there is a skylight above, so I’m not quiet sure what else to put there, except the doll house, the rocking bunny (that she still uses, ha!), and of course the Christmas tree during the holidays.

So now to the Christmas Tree. Got this one off of Amazon, and the reviews aren’t fantastic, but honestly, I love it, and it’s perfect for Elle’s room. It is not pre-lit, so I did have to buy some white lights (5 garlands, I like the tree extra sparkly), but you just have to fluff it up after storage, and I think it’s great, especially for the price. We got the tree skirt, and most of the ornaments at Walmart, Michael’s, and Target. Elle’s silhouette ornament is so special to me, and we got that one from Lillian & Catherine.

The Other Book Nook

Before Elle was born, I saw someone on Pinterest who used IKEA spice racks as book shelves, and I of course wanted to do it too. Unfortunately I got hospitalized with per-eclampsia early, so my amazing mom did them for me. She did have to paint them, but I love how they look, and they are a perfect and inexpensive way to display our favorite books as the seasons change. The toy box was actually gifted to us, but it has been fantastic for storing ALL of Elle’s princess and dress up clothes and accessories. I just shove it in there, and she can easily pull it out without needing my help. Win Win! All the holiday stuffies we have accumulated over the years, and Elle is particularly fond of the ones that sing and dance! I usually buy those at Home Depot or CVS.

The Mama’s Favorite Nook/Where all my money goes

Ahh. Elle’s closet. What my girl mama dreams are made of. Her closet is quiet long, and actually extends far to the left, so it is spectacular as far as hanging her clothes goes, but I knew I needed something for all her toys. Her dresser is big enough to store all her jammies, undergarments, leggings, bows, socks/tights, so essentially everything I don’t hang. The storage unit inside the closet was the perfect solution, and if it looks familiar, it is exactly the same as the pink one on the other side of Elle’s room that holds all her books. As I mentioned before, you can customize it however you want, and we opted to add some drawers for storage (if you’re curious, this is where all her play jewelry lives, along with her purses, sunglasses, and the like. I do use a few drawers to store her ballet and gymnastics clothes.

The storage boxes below are also from IKEA, and the ones above are from Amazon. I love that they are collapsible, and very inexpensive. And because it is one of the most played with toys, the pink vanity set is a great gift!

If there is something that I forgot to link, please feel free to reach out and ask. The best way is through a DM on Instagram, where I see and respond to all the messages.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
