We have been going to Edaville Family Theme Park ever since Elle was able to walk. Many of the rides are toddler friendly, and there is plenty to do besides rides.
This past Sunday, we went to their Christmas Festival of Lights event which runs through January 1st, 2020, so there is still plenty of time to get a trip in.
I’m not exaggerating when I say, I’ve never seen so many twinkly lights and Christmas decorations. It was truly magical. The whole park is lit up in colorful lights, displays, wreaths, and garlands, and joyful holiday tunes follow wherever you go.
We were pleasantly surprised that the park was not crowded, and we didn’t have to wait long for all the rides–almost all of them were open too.
Of course the highlight was riding Edaville’s Engine 21 Christmas steam train, which goes around the whole park. You can look out both sides of the wide windows to magical Christmas displays, including a leaping frog that turns into a prince, penguins playing basketball, and our favorite… a pirate ship that shoots cannons!
Elle also enjoyed the carousel, Diesel Derby, Firefighter Flynn, Flying Elephants, Red Barron, and the most exciting ride of all: The Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster (she was finally tall enough to ride it!).
On our way back, we walked through the enchanting Dickens Village with whimsical Christmas window displays, that remind you of a Hallmark movie.
You can learn more about Edaville and their Festival of Lights event here. Hope you can make it!
