I recently had the chance to pop into nine different stores and boutiques at Mashpee Commons. Those of you not familiar with Mashpee Commons, it is an outdoor upscale shopping and dining center, in a quintessential New England setting.
We come here often! Whether it’s to grab a coffee at Starbucks, pick out a new outfit for Elle or me, get some doggy treats at the pet boutique, see a movie, dine at one of the many restaurants, bowl with friends, paint some pottery, or enjoy one of their many events. In other words, there is plenty to do for everyone!
On this trip, I was in for a treat. I got to meet many of the store owners or managers and we worked together on picking out an outfit for me {or Elle} to try on. I’m sharing our looks below and a little bit about each store.
CAPE KIDS carries a wide assortment of clothing, sourced form the best vendors on the East and West coast. Their uniquely curated collection of apparel and gifts includes timeless pieces as well as the latest trends. Visitors will find friendly service in a quaint Cape Cod cottage setting. Cape Kids carries sizes ranging from newborn to eight years of age.
Fox + Kit is a local, mom-owned, children’s boutique. Becoming a mother inspired the shop owner, Lindsay, to open her store. The products are carefully curated and hand-selected to ensure quality and style. Much of what’s available at Fox + Kit is used (and loved) in Lindsay’s home. Shoppers will find many products that are made in the US, organic, recycled (or recyclable), and socially/environmentally conscious.
Lilly Pulitzer’s colorful prints have become an iconic coastal-chic look. Lilly’s infamous shift dress started with a juice stand. Lilly Pulitzer opened her first juice stand in Palm Beach as a way to pass the time. Soon there after, she found the need for something comfortable that would camouflage the stains she would get on her clothes when squeezing fruit. The result was a brightly printed dress she could wear every day, everywhere. Not only was the dress practical, it quickly became the iconic style of a fun-loving lifestyle.
Purple Poppy is a high-end women’s clothing boutique that has something for every gal. Whether you are seeking the newest look in contemporary fashion or a classic, easy look, Purple Poppy has you covered. The boutique carries unique items that will make your wardrobe stand out from the crowd. They also carry chic accessories to compliment your look; from necklaces and bracelets to scarves and flip flops to their famous Weekend Waterford plastic frosted cups.
One21 Mashpee features classic looks with an edgy flair. The boutique specializes handmade Italian leather bags and fashion forward clothing for women.
Paisley Boutique offers a warm and friendly shopping experience, and features looks ranging from classic to contemporary. They also carry accessories such as purses and jewelry to complete your look. They have something for everyone and love to help women find styles that they make them feel comfortable and confident. Paisley also offers private shopping nights and fundraisers.
MOCEAN is a small family run business that specializes in stylish outdoor apparel for both men and women. From SUP paddles throughout the year, to walks on the beach, MOCEAN has everything you need to prepare for your journey. You’ll find apparel from premiere outdoor brands including Patagonia, Save The Duck, Yeti, Prana, and more.
NIC + ZOE is an American fashion brand proudly rooted in Boston. The boutique recently opened their first Cape Cod store, located at Mashpee Commons. The close-knit company reflects the spirit and wanderlust of its founder and designer, Dorian Lightbown, who named the brand after her two children—Nicholas and Zoë. NIC+ZOE is widely recognized for its distinctive colors and patterns, feminine textures and soft neutrals designed to deliver luxurious comfort to women who make busy look good.
Puritan Cape Cod is a 3rd generation, family owned clothing store with four locations on Cape Cod. Their stores in Hyannis, Chatham, Mashpee Commons, and Falmouth feature brand-name styles from lines such Vineyard Vines, Eileen Fisher, and Peter Millar.
